Framlingham Castle Trip
On Wednesday 15th March, Willow Class went on an adventure to Framlingham Castle. We got on the coach with our lunch boxes and coats ready for a day of fun! The sun was shining when we arrived at Framlingham castle and the children were very excited to get exploring. We split into two groups, and decided that one group would explore the top of the castle, while the other explored the moat and the outside of the castle walls. After lunch, we swapped around so that all of the children were able to see the castle from up high and down below! We were able to spot many of the features we have learnt about in our history lessons and Ocean was able to tell us all about the arrow slits. It was great to see the children enjoy discovering a real castle! We were also able to look around at some artifacts from Framlingham Castle and the local area to understand what llife was like in the past and compare it to how we live now.
This is what the children had to say about their fantastic day:
"We saw a very old bike, it was on the wall and we thought it might fall on us!" - Ruben
"It was the best day of my life!" - Pops
"From the top of the castle you could see miles away!" - Teddy
"I really enjoyed listening to the audio guides." - Finley
"It was so cool to look at everything. The castle was beautiful!" - Honor
