We are a mixed year 3 and 4 class (7 -9 years old). Miss Ashford and Mrs Hill are our two class teachers: Mrs Hill teaches Mondays and Tuesdays and Miss Ashford teaches Wednesday to Friday. Miss Chatfield is our teaching assistant everyday apart from Thursday, when Mrs Doherty will be working with us. We also work with some other teachers during the week: Mrs Mackintosh teaches us art and Mrs Wharham helps with our PE lessons and runs sports clubs at lunchtimes too. On Thursday afternoons, we take part in the Key Stage 2 Orchestra with Mrs Newton, our music teacher. Everyone plays in a section of the orchestra, which includes: woodwind, keyboards, strings, guitar, percussion and glockenspiels. Mrs Newton also teaches violin and recorder lessons. We have other visiting music teachers too, such as Mr Shepherd, who teaches guitar.  Further details about our learning for this term can be found in our half termly class newsletters on our class page. Homework will be set via Google classroom and do have a look at the school website where you will find lots of information about our school and our curriculum.

Mrs Allen's Reading Challenge - BOOK BINGO

Mrs Allen has set a challenge for all children in the school. Here is a list of classic recommended books to read. There is a copy of each book in the classroom. We recommend YELLOW for year 3 and BLUE for year 4. If you child is a reluctant reader you might like to look at the GREEN list - these books are full of fun and are designed to get children back into reading.
